Saturday for Greens’–Tuf Falcon to return to Mt Panorama
Dick Johnson Racing has endured another roller coaster day at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 as the team saw the commemorative livery Greens’ – Tuf Falcon at first near the top of the time sheets, and then stranded at the top of the mountain after a big crash.
Dick Johnson Racing will return to Bathurst to contest the 2013 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with a spectacular change in livery to both of its Ford Falcon entries. Just three years after Dick Johnson captured the hearts and minds of the Australian public in 1980 with the infamous 'Rock' eliminating the Tru-Blu XD Falcon, 1983 delivered another chapter in this teams' never ending battle with the famous Mt Panorama track when Johnson speared off the road at Forest Elbow crashing down amongst the trees. He was on track in the Hardies Heroes shootout for a good time when the accident occurred. The impact destroyed what was arguably the greatest Group C Australian Touring Car ever built.
Father’s Day will be tough for David Wall.
The V8 Supercars driver will take to the track at Sydney Motorsport Park in a championship-winning car as part of the annual Muscle Car Masters celebration of speed.
