With only one weekend at home between the previous event in Townsville and Ipswich, Joey (Joe Sullivan) was keen to travel the 2,700km home as quick and safely as possible to give the crew as much time as possible to prepare for the Ipswich event.
Our trip to Townsville began the weekend prior to the event with both Joey (Joe Sullivan) and Chucky (Andrew Pearson) leaving our Dandenong South headquarters and heading to Bundaberg for a fundraising event on the Monday afternoon and evening.
The long haul over the Perth (Wanneroo) began last Saturday for our two Volvo FH16 Globetrotter trucks. Joey (Joe Sullivan) captained the main game transporter and Chuck (Andrew Pearson) was behind the wheel of the Super 2 transporter.
