Disappointment at Team Advam/GB

The Bathurst 1000 promised so much for Team ADVAM/GB but an unfortunate incident early in the race put the car out of the race – dashing the hopes of Dale Wood and co-driver Chris Pither.

The trouble began on lap 46 when Wood caught a pack of cars driving slowly during a safety car period.

Team mate Jones was ahead and slowed but Wood, unsighted, had little time to react and hit the back of the Team BOC Commodore.

Unfortunately for the team the car was out on the spot, ending hopes of a strong finish after the sensational 8th place grid spot.

The next event on the calendar is the Gold Coast 600 in two weeks.
