Wood Keen to Move On

Team ADVAM/GB’s Dale Wood finished the final race of round four of the V8 Supercar championship in 22nd position today at Pukekohe Raceway in New Zealand.

Battling car setup issues and searching for rhythm on the fast Pukekohe track, Wood qualified 23rd for the 200km race.

It was a relatively trouble free 69 laps for Wood and his Team ADVAM/GB VF Commodore, eventually finishing the race in 22nd position.

“We really stuggled for pace. Not really sure why, maybe a little bit of me not getting to grip with the track this weekend and then I was just never happy with the car. The car never felt the same for me lap to lap. We struggled with setup all weekend and kept killing the rear tyres. It’s really disappointing after the podium at Winton but there’s plenty to think about and plenty to learn.”

FPR’s Mark Winterbottom won the race and the Jason Richards Trophy.

Round 5 of the V8 Supercar championship is in Perth at Barbagallo Raceway from May 16 to 19.
